Silent Night
Franz Xaver Gruber · arranged by guitarnotation
How to play it
- Count two groups of three in each bar. “Si-lent night” in bar 1 is a dotted quarter, an eighth and a quarter: the open third string, the second fret, and the open string again.
- Bars 1 to 16 move between the third string and the second; the D in bars 5 and 17 is the third fret of the second string.
- Bar 20, “born”, is the open first string, the highest note. From there the tune walks down to the C on the fifth string in bar 23.
