How to play it

  • Count three beats to the bar. The first bar is an introduction: a C in the bass, then the first note of the tune, G, on the open third string.
  • Play the bass notes with your thumb and the melody with your fingers. Where a bar starts with two notes, pluck them together.
  • The high G in bar 8 lasts all three beats. Keep it ringing over the open D in the bass at the start of bar 9.
