About these terms
These terms cover your use of guitarnotation.com, including the browser demo at /player and /editor. By using the site you agree to them. Questions go to info@guitarnotation.com.
The browser demo
The demo is free to try. It's a limited preview of the desktop app: edits aren't saved, and it can't open, save, import or export files. It runs in your browser, and we may change or remove it at any time.
Buying guitarnotation
guitarnotation is a desktop app for Linux, Windows and macOS. It isn't on sale yet; when it is, it will cost $25, paid once, with no subscription.
A licence is for one person, on all of their own computers. Every 1.x update is included. A future 2.0 may be a paid upgrade, and the version you bought keeps working either way. If the app isn't right for you, email info@guitarnotation.com within 14 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked. The full terms of sale are shown at checkout before you pay.
Using the site
Please don't use the site to break the law, interfere with its security or operation, overload it with automated requests, or send spam or abusive messages through the support form, or sign up addresses that aren't yours to the launch list.
Our content
The design, text, code and arrangements on this site belong to us. The melodies of the songs in our tab library, Ode to Joy among them, are in the public domain; our arrangements of them are free to download, print and play for your own practice. Please don't republish the arrangements, or anything else from the site, without permission. Product and format names such as Guitar Pro, MusicXML and MIDI belong to their owners, as do the names of other apps we compare guitarnotation with; we use them only to describe what the app works with and how it compares.
Liability
We provide the site and the demo as they are, and we can't promise they will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using them. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that can't legally be limited.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
